Michigan WISEWOMAN Entrepreneurial Gardening
The Michigan WISEWOMAN Entrepreneurial Gardening Project is a partnership between Michigan WISEWOMAN and Michigan State University Extension. The project provides participants with skills and resources to increase healthy behaviors and to earn additional income through gardening.

The WISEWOMAN Entrepreneurial Gardening Program provides participants with skills and resources to increase healthy behaviors and to earn additional income through gardening. It began as a small pilot project in West Branch, Michigan in 2008. That first year, there were 8 women. Now, in 2017, there are over 80 Entrepreneurial Gardeners in 15 counties!

The Michigan WISEWOMAN Entrepreneurial Gardening Program was designed to help participants:
1) grow fruits and vegetables for their families
2) grow extra produce to sell at farmer’s markets or roadside stands Women come into the program with many levels of gardening experience. Some are ready to start selling right away, while others have to get some experience.
